Rowing is a challenging sport, and provides fun, friendship, community and is as hard of a work out as you could ever hope for.

Practices include on the water rowing time, and land workouts with rowing machines, strength training and aerobic conditioning. Coach Fleming Brainerd has years of experience coaching at clubs in the Puget Sound Region, and every year since the founding of North Cascades Crew, has trained rowers who qualified to go to the Junior Nationals Rowing Championships.

Rowers need to pass a swim/float test prior to going out on the water. The club is a member of US Rowing and meets all safety standards for the sport.

Summer Practice Schedule: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri - Beginning Class 9:00AM to 10:30 AM, and Intermediate/advanced at 7:30 AM to 9 AM.

Session 1 June 27- July 29

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR 24 HOUR ERGOTHON FUNDRAISER!

Thanks to all of you who came out to support our annual Fall fundraiser. Our goal was to raise $6,000 to help us purchase a new boat and allow us to accommodate more rowers in our program. Rowers kept an ergometer (rowing machine) spinning for 24-hours at Haggens in Lake Stevens. We enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by as we took turns rowing 30-minute shifts from 4pm Friday, October 9 to 4pm Saturday, October 10.

Donations in any amount are still welcome. Checks may be mailed to: North Cascades Crew, P.O. Box 1506, Lake Stevens, WA. 98258. Thank you!
